Bianco d'Alessano is such a great variety for Australia's climate, super drought tolerant. We have fermented it on skins to harness the lemon flavours and extraordinary texture, so quite golden in colour, but structured and savoury in a lovely lifted light way. It is a slow ripener too so refreshingly only 10.5% Alcohol, it is therefore a great lunch wine - and possibly THE most appropriate BARGAIN wine, as it helps a grower farm in a more sustainable way.
Grown by Brett Proud, Fascinating tannins & phenolics, a white varietal all about texture, with lanolin, lemon pith, & quite savoury, completely out of the box.
