20226 Heathcote Vermentino; Fragrant, zippy and fresh with sage and rosemary flower aromas with a hint of ginger spice. A thicker skinned variety - this is a textural and mouthfilling wine with a crisp saline finish. Fine crystals are evident in this wine as it is not put through the process of cold stabilisation to 'pre-freeze' the tartrate crystals (which are harmless), so you will see them in the bottom of the bottle - as stabilising can strip some flavour - my preference with such small batch winemaking is to put flavour first.
