Vintage is the time we pick our grapes and ferment them to make wine - it is the crescendo of the season and each decision is crucial. Spend a week at Bellwether during vintage (March 2025) sleeping in a Bell tent and join our vintage crew for a week....
Your experience might include grape picking, crushing, plunging ferments, pressing, tasting grapes and ferments with the winemaker and of course the all important cleaning. It all depends what is happening that week of vintage. Eat lunch daily with the vintage team around our old wool sorting table, often including an interesting wine from the museum.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner provisions supplied or provided, wine with evening meals and a knock off beer/wine each day. If you have a keen interest in how wine is made and would like to contribute to the 2025 vintage wines this could be one of the best weeks of your life.
Days are long and the work physical - it might be just the break you need to restart the new year.
