Vintage Experience 2020
Have you have ever wanted to see how wine is made - or better yet participate in 'vintage'? Bellwether invites 4 lucky people to come and stay with us for one week of vintage to help with making the 2020 Bellwether wines. Sleep in a Bell tent, eat with the vintage crew, plunge and taste ferments. $1500 for a once in a lifetime experience.
Glen Roy
Some places feed and inspire the soul, the Glen Roy Shearing Shed is one of those places, a beautiful mixture of history, humour and creativity. The 1868 Glen Roy Shearing Shed was designed by Architect William Thomas Gore and built by Chinese labourers en-route to the gold fields. Sheep were still shorn until 2009, sensitively renovated now it is home to Bellwether Wines boutique winery, community kitchen, cellar door,
produce garden and campground, most lambs here these days are of the roast kind accompanied with a good local red.This beautiful stone building greets you as you drive into the famous Coonawarra wine region, 7km north of the township.
Glamping
Glamp in one of our luxurious Bell Tents. Wake to the birds, sleep in a bed with fresh linen and creature comforts, a short walk from our unique cellar door.
Surrounded by 500 year old red gums and a central campfire, to keep you warm with a glass of red in the cooler months.
Why not arrive by 4 pm to taste the unique range of boutique Bellwether wines to select your wine for the night. You are supplied with farm eggs, locally smoked bacon and house cooked sourdough to cook with in our well equipped camp kitchen.
Stay and visit the Coonawarra cellar doors, dine at local restaurants, visit the world heritage listed Naracoorte Caves or take a drive over ancient coastlines to the seaside fishing towns of Robe and Beachport.
Wine Tasting
In the surrounds of the Glen Roy 1868 stone shearing shed enjoy an intimate tasting experience in a truly unique space. Visit during vintage and you'll see and smell active ferments first hand.
Bellwether wines are hand made on site, with no parcel greater than one ton. 100% Natural ferment for unique expression of each special site.
Cuvee-Co wines are made by winemaker Peta Baverstock.
This tasting features cool climate classics and the emerging mediterranean varietals and boutique regional sparkling wines.
