Vintage 21 is a return to healthier yields in the vineyard and a mild season with cool nights sees fruit ripening slightly later, or maybe the old normal. The colours and tannins are amazing. It is looking like a strong year.
This week we had our competition winner Laura experience vintage with us along with Barb and Bob from Toowoomba. Before that Elliot from Brisbane.
These guys join Fran and Stephen (returned from Lennox Head) to help us care for the 21 fruit.
Sleeping in one of our Bell tents, the vintage experience is a completely immersive one, of our climate, grapes ripening, picking, pressing, de-stemming, plunging, filling barrels, doing ferment rounds, eating, meeting the local community and getting to see exactly how we make wine!
