This week we drew the winner of our 'Be a winemaker for a week' competition. I decided, on the day, to throw in a runner-up prize too, and I'm so glad I did as the runner-up winner was Meghan Curtis - currently in lockdown in Melbourne. It was awesome to give Meghan something to look forward to, glamping for two nights with a winery tour at some stage in the future.
The big winner however was Laura Bainger who was thrilled to hear she will be joining us in March, Vintage 2021 for a completely immersive experience helping us make wine. Laura will stay in one of our beautifully furnished glamping bell tents surrounded by acres of fresh air and 500 year old redgums, all meals. By now she will have received a case of wine sent to her in August 2020 to whet her appetite. Whilst with us we will share interesting wines with dinner each night and a case of wine that she will help us make in the 2021 vintage will be sent to her once bottled.
This is an amazing opportunity to learn the art of winemaking, spend a week in our beautiful region and have some serious fun! One of those 'Once-in-a-lifetime' moments....and if you didn't happen to be the lucky winner, we do offer a limited 4 spots to join us (2021 has sold-out but we have opened bookings for 2022). Check it out HERE
Thanks to everyone who helped us 'grow our flock' - it helps us share the love of our wines and community with your friends.
