Our FAVOURITE event - a long lunch with lots of laughs, wine, stories and an eye watering judgement of desserts to see which winemaker can win the judges approval with not their wine - but the 'plate' of dessert they bring to the table. It is one of the greatest celebrations of the wine community that any wine lover could attend.
We have a guest chef and MC who make the day and help with the dessert judging, that originated by the local CWA catering our first one in 2013 before the Glen Roy Shearing Shed was renovated. The judging and feedback given by the ladies on the day lead by local food identity Kate Spencer, was brutal and most entertaining to guests, this tradition continues with hosting chefs and MC's picking up the mantle, leaving some of the county's leading winemakers trembling in their seats.
Lunch is always cooked with love by a chef we respect. Closer to the date we will announce the 2025 chef but be assured it will be beautiful food as past chefs have included Clare Falzon, Ben Williamson, Stefano de Pieri, Frank Camorra, our local Afghan community and of course the original CWA, often with the support of local chef Ian Perry.
Past MC's have included Nick Ryan, Max Allen, and Jane Faulkner renowned wine and food experts, writing for the The Australian, Australian Financial Review and Halliday Wine Companion among many publications and author of numerous award winning books on wine and community. We will announce the 2025 MC soon.

You can be assured of a star studded, thoughtful line up, with really interesting wines and stories.
